I’m not sure how many of you have strolled the aisles of Old Navy lately… but I have been wandering around WAY too much lately because I’m super impressed with the colors and patterns this season. Plus their kids section is always a favorite of mine.
I walked out a few weeks ago with a few new sweaters that I decided I needed to share them as well as a few others that had my eye that I feel would be Tess & Elm reader favorites too!
Cozy Crew-Neck Sweater for Women: I’ve already worn this sweater twice because a) it’s really comfortable and b) it’s a nice twist on a simple sweater with the pops of different-colored yarn. I’m hunting for a new pair of high-waisted corduroy jeans in a fun color – berry red, plum, golden yellow or dark green (basically any fall color) that I think would be so cute with this! I’ve also been eyeing this suede skirt that would be SO cute with this for church or a date night with some knee-high boots!
Slouchy Garter-Stitch Turtleneck Sweater: I also walked away with this really pretty green sweater. The color is what drew me to it first, then the style. It’s a looser-fit sweater and on me and my short 5′ 4″ frame, it’s actually long enough for me to appropriately wear leggings with! When I wore this out, I had on black leggings and some leopard slip-on sneakers, but I easily could have done a ballet flat, or a calf-high boot and made it a little nicer outfit. The sweater is super comfortable and washed well!
Plush Sweater-Knit Boyfriend Cardigan: I know I have already bragged about this sweater in a Friday Favorites post, but I wanted to make sure my statements were heard, loud and clear! So far, I’ve worn this with joggers, with denim, over a jumpsuit… and I’m still loving the quality and how it can be dressed up and down! It comes in two other colors and I chose the oatmeal because I told myself to stop buying everything in grey! 🙂
Plush-Knit Long-Line Open Front Sweater: For a good month, fashion bloggers were swooning over this camel-colored open cardigan and made it VERY hard to get. It’s back now and fully-stocked and I know why they were loving it! The color is so easy to throw on over a simple tee to dress up OR dress down. I love how it’s styled here with the gold-foil tee, jeans and slip-on wedges!
Cable-Knit Crew-Neck Sweater: In the winter time, I feel like the go-to color for nights out are black. So I love this sweater and how it’s not just your regular old black sweater. I LOVE the black and white mixed together and again, with a pair of colored corduroys or a skirt, it’s a really simple, yet fun option! (PS. With a red lip. Ofcourse.)
Where are your favorite places to shop right now? Old Navy is so easy for me for a few reasons: prices and (most importantly in Chicago Proper), PARKING. There is an actual parking lot that I don’t have to pay to park in. It’s the little things in life in this very big city, people! 🙂
