Well. Mother Nature has struck again! Anytime she knows I’m looking forward to something, she swoops in with a potential ice storm or blizzard that forces plans to change. Which I HATE.
So instead of my sister and brother-in-law coming up with their family this weekend, they are staying home because Mother Nature hates me! They’ve rescheduled for a few weekends from now, but I’m not holding my breath – since Mother Nature is a B!
ANYWAY… let’s move on to happier topics. Like Friday Favorites. 🙂
It has great reviews on Amazon and I feel like after having gone to confession for the first time in 10 years last weekend and then taking 30 minutes for myself yesterday at Ann Sather’s (rather than cramming in 20 errands), this would be a nice addition to “Things Mom Needs to Do for Herself”.
Click here to snag it on Amazon!
Tess and I were wondering around Target yesterday and this doormat was on one of the endcaps (sidetone: I had never heard the term “endcap” used until we moved to Minneapolis and Matt worked on the Target account). If I had thought that this wouldn’t be covered in snow for the next few weeks, I would have picked it right up! Instead, I’m going to hold off until I have the perfect front door to put it in front of.
But how cute with a larger buffalo check rug under it at the front door?
Either way, grab it! Quickly! Sizes are flying and it’s WAY too cute to not have. The color is perfect to wear in the fall and winter as you transition from colder temps to warmer temps (please, Mother Nature!).
It’s on sale for less than $35 so it’s SUCH a good deal, as well as the rest the Loft being 50 percent off with code WANT. Sale ends Sunday, so RUN! 🙂
This recipe was in my arsenal of things to make this coming weekend when we had family in town, but once I found out they weren’t coming, I’ve drowned my sorrows… and just plain forgotten that I still have family to feed.
These were on the menu for Saturday (now, they will be getting boring pancakes or cereal) but I do plan to actually make them when the fam does visit in a few weeks. They look INCREDIBLY easy and so, so good!
Love Mix and Match Mama recipe’s because they are almost fool-proof for myself! 🙂
It’s becoming clearer to me that I should have been taking better care of my skin back in the day or known about a little gem called Retinoid to save me from the many wrinkles that are appearing in my forehead, thank to the many eye-raises I give my kids!
But thanks to one of my favorite bloggers – Cristin Cooper – who recommended one of HER favorite people, Jordan Harper, a certified aesthetic nurse specialist, they are setting me straight in the path to better and smart skincare.
And ofcourse, the three things I need – a retinoid, a vitamin C serum and an SPF – cost a little more.
So… this is the first one on my list. It’s not a prescription retinoid (which I SERIOUSLY need to go to a dermatologist just to get my skin checked anyway as well as say “Hey, can you hit me up with a prescription strength retinoid please?”
I’m planning a post about Jordan’s three must-haves next week so stay tuned… this is a part of it!
And that’s all friends… hope everyone stays warm this weekend. I hear we are getting snow. Which is about right since Mother Nature and I are on the outs! 😐
And as always, GO CATS! Beat TCU! 🙂
