Praise the Lord that it is FRIDAY. This has been a doozy of a week at the Clark household. Can it just be Thanksgiving Break yet? I’d like to say that next week will be better, but someone, in their infinite wisdom, decided to have parent/teacher conferences (my legit favorite school thing I have to attend) the same week as Veteran’s Day. So my kids will not have school on Monday. And Wednesday.
Say a prayer for us! 😉
My mom came up last week to help me with Halloween (and life) while Matt was gone (God bless her) and I we moseyed down to Michigan Avenue to Zara and the Loft. I kept my wallet in my purse, which was shocking, but I held these pretty earrings in my hand from the Loft for a bit. They are so cute and simple and the perfect stocking stuffer! And (shocker) everything at the Loft is 40 percent off so snag these quickly!
Does anyone else get a little giddy when they find something that is almost exactly like an item that a fashion blogger has worn or told you to buy… but is MUCH less expensive? Or is that just me?! 🙂
I came across these oh-so-cute tall faux suede boots from Old Navy and so far, my Old Navy shoe purchases have been legit (remember these?). They show them on a model and they are not knee-high, but would be adorable with a dress, a corduroy skirt, skinny jeans or black leggings. Super versatile and a great addition to your shoe collection!
I had been taking the vitamins for probably four months, when I decided, “Eh… I’m going to take a little break before Christmas – just pause my subscription until after the holidays and save a little money.”
And then yesterday, I restarted the subscription.
Here’s the deal. You take a quiz, answering questions about yourself, your health, your lifestyle, etc., and it spits out a list of suggested vitamins and/or supplements that you should consider taking. Did I mention my sleep was brutal and how I have some stress? Yep. So it suggested I take Ashwaghanda that helps reduce stress and food cravings and supports memory and cognitive function – all things I need EXTRA HELP WITH!
It also suggested fish oil, a probiotic, calcium as well as Astaxanthin, which helps support healthy skin (among other things) and I can tell you, in all honesty, that once I stopped taking this, I could tell a difference in my skin. (I can also tell I haven’t been taking the ‘chill out’ pill because I feel like I’m on edge and losing it a little easier than I had been… which means I need to be committed).
In the end, I knew I needed to be taking vitamins and/or supplements, but didn’t know where to start. This made it SO easy for me and in the end, was more cost effective than buying five different bottles of vitamins! So try it out… or atleast click here and take the test and see what would be good for you to be taking! YOU’RE WELCOME! 🙂
OK, so this might seem far-fetched for me. But at $12, I might be down with this.
Himalayan sea salt lamps are were all the rage and apparently purify the air, increase energy levels and reduce stress, help you sleep better and improve skin diseases, as well as a few other benefits, but these are pretty darn good.
I’m not so much loving the look of the big salt lamp, but a nightlight, I could get down with. And all of those benefits are things I could reap immensely from, as well as my family.
So hello stocking stuffers for everyone! 🙂
Last weekend, I went shopping with Jen and Sue, Matt’s cousin and aunt, and we stopped in Gap. Where I stood staring at these pajamas for five minutes. I finally walked away because I didn’t want to spend $60 on a pajama top and bottom.
So today, I walked in to Gap Factory and, as always, they have the same pajamas. But at Gap Factory prices. So I paid $30 rather than $60 and I’m so glad I didn’t buy those last weekend!
These are super soft and also the jogger pants, which I love to wear to bed – anything else just runs up my leg and the pants end up at my thighs after I’ve rolled from one side to the other. Click here for the matching top. I bought both in a small. Buy them, be comfortable and be merry! 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend, friends! We are off to Minneapolis for a few days (since the kids are off school Monday) – Matt had a work trip that popped up to there and I begged him to let us come along! My begging worked! And I’m so happy! 🙂
