Oh friends… can I just say that my plan had not been to go for two weeks without blogging. I had two weeks of “help” with my kids while I recovered from my breast reduction surgery and I was sure that I would be blogging MORE than I usually do.
Looking back, I definitely COULD have been blogging, but I seriously tried my hardest to REST.
Or be lazy.
Truthfully, it was pure laziness. But you know what… I don’t get the chance to be lazy very often, so I guess I chose to take advantage of it!
ANYWAY, I apologize for the departure. I’m sure you’ve all been on pins and needles waiting on my return. 🙂
Before my surgery, I did make sure to get a few important things done. For instance, I got the car cleaned inside and out (this was priority number one). I also made sure to get our Christmas cards in the mail!
This might have been the earliest I’ve ever got them out so that was a thrill! But I’m excited to share some of the pictures from our photo session with Wrenn of Wrenn Bird Photography. You all know my love affair I have with Wrenn. Besides her extreme talent, she is the sweetest person you will meet!
I know I’ve raved about Wrenn many times (I do not plan on stopping), but we have used her since Sloane was a year old and just when Wrenn was sort of jumping off into her business. So it’s special for us to see how far she has come in seven years!
If you live near Manhattan (Kansas), she is located in a small town near there, but I’m certain she’d be up for traveling to meet you. She does family photo shoots, as well as wedding photography (she was my sister’s photographer for her wedding in 2013). Please check out her website and/or follow her on social media ((here are her Facebook and Instagram page links).
Wrenn, thank you for always capturing pictures that will always take us back to these years that we never want to forget.
