Remember back two centuries when I used to do Etsy Finds of the Week?
Yeah, me either. It’s been that long.
It was usually a well-read post, but I got away from it. But have decided I’m bringing it back… at least this week! 😉 This is basically inspired by my sister-in-law who had a few really cool prints framed that she got from Etsy, those of which will be the first featured item.
This is the print that my sister-in-law bought off of Etsy, as well as one of Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium (where she went to college). They come in three different sizes and she had hers framed in a nice black frame. The print has a little bit of a vintage feel to it! I thought that if not a gift for yourself, then great for the football fan in your life!
My husband has basically told me in a kind way that he does not like my Pottery Barn plates that I picked out when we got married and we will be getting new plates at some point.
(All I can say that if one cared so much, one should have attended the registry party I threw for myself at Pottery Barn back in 2008!)
So I’ve been doing lots of plate shopping lately. I LOVE my Pottery Barn plates because of the color mixture I did. I chose three colors: rust, gold and white. And I can mix and match or just use one color and they have been great. Despite the fact that they aren’t good plates to heat up in the microwave, which is an issue when you use the microwave a lot. 🙂
I think I will end up going with all white plates – I’ve found a few options that I love (Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma, World Market). But I’d really like to get some salad plates that are a different pattern or color just for fun.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these plates from Vintage by Beth’s shop! She will select plates for you and if you want a certain style, she will try and stick to that. So many of these plates remind me of my Grams’s floral print plates she had when I was growing up. (She also was an amazing cook so maybe if I have similar plates, I will also be an amazing cook – it works that way, right?)
I love how these plates would go with simple white plates and just be a nice pop of color and pattern!
Beth, you’ll be hearing from me!
Time to vamp up the jewelry collection in 2019, ladies!
Look at these adorable earrings made of CLAY! This shop is full of unique earrings (I’ve got my eye on these Rose Gold dangles!) that are definite eye-catchers.
All of the pieces are handmade so sometimes the color in the picture might be a tad different than they appear in the picture. But if you browse the collection, I think you know your are in good hands!
I talked about this Etsy shop on my Facebook page around Christmas time, but in case you missed it…
My cousin got this print from her good friend, Madison, who just whipped it up, free-hand and all.
When I saw Abby, I immediately asked her where she got it and if this person could make one for me… with the ten million place I have lived on it. She said yes and then her luckily her friend decided to start an Etsy shop!
Not only can she do these prints, she also can do a watercolor portrait of your home, which funny enough, I also want of all the homes we’ve lived in. All of her pieces are super inexpensive and really great ideas for anyone in your life – Mother’s Day, birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries…
Please check out her sweet shop and give her some love!
And for fun (but for real… a gift I will be giving)… this mug is everything.
And you’re welcome for me finding it for you! 😉
